Do you remember gamebooks? You know, those awesome books that you might have read cherished second-hand copies of back in the 1990s, like "Fighting Fantasy", "Choose Your Own Adventure" etc... These were books that put YOU in control of the story.
Unfortunately, this genre seems to have faded into obscurity somewhat ( the only recent example I can think of is Ian Livingstone's "Blood Of The Zombies" ). Well, you can stop your search, because I've just written a short 51 page story in this style that can be played for free online at: acolyteadventure.wordpress.com
"Acolyte!" is an interactive comedy/horror story where YOU, dear reader, get to be the her... Oops! I meant to say " the villain". Or, more accurately, one of the villains' henchmen or henchwomen.
Beware though, peril lurks around every corner and you'll have to have both perseverence and luck if you want to get to the end of the story .... Or you could just cheat. I mean, let's face it, that's what we all used to do with gamebooks back in the day...
So, what are you waiting for? Check it out

New ''Best Of'' Gallery
Well, after my previous "Best Of" gallery just ended up being a general gallery (after I didn't notice that paintings were being automatically sent there), I've decided to make a new one - consisting of the very best paintings, drawings etc... I've posted here since about 2015 or so.
Anyway, here it is: https://www.deviantart.com/pekoeblaze/gallery/70746710/the-best-paintings
Enjoy :)
Sci-Fi, Gothic etc... Paintings Return :)
Well, although I'll probably still be posting at least a couple of realistic landscapes every week or so, I am very proud to announce that "ordinary" sci-fi, gothic etc... paintings will be returning on a more regular basis :)
Coming Soon! Five Months Of Realistic Landscapes
Well, although my normal sci-fi, gothic, 1980/90s etc... paintings will return on a more regular basis, I thought that I'd talk about some of the changes that will start appearing here during the next couple of days.
In short, due to being busy at the time of preparing most of the paintings for the next five months or so, most of them ended up being quick landscape paintings, mostly based on photos that I've taken (although a couple of the earlier ones are based on photos friends/family took for me).
Yes, regular monthly comics and the occasional infrequent non-landscape painting will appear during this time. But, for about five months or s
Woo hoo! Album cover :)
Woo hoo! I am very proud to announce that I've made part of the cover art for Renz Wilde's new digital album "Shattered" - which can be found on Bandcamp (I don't know if I can link to it here though) :)
I've only had a chance to listen to the album briefly at the time of writing, but it's wonderfully retro and it contains quite a bit of musical variety too :) Here are brief descriptions of each track:
"Intro (Get Down)" is an ominous, understated piece of 80s-style synth music, like something from the opening credits of a sci-fi/horror film or TV show.
The title track ("Shattered") is a 1970s-style disco piece, with some subtle background
